The Grass is Always Greener On the Other Side of the Fence refers to the way we tend to look at other people’s lives and other things that we don't have in general through. It comes from the idea of looking at a neighbours lawn and seeing it as better looking, healthier and overall greener then your own when in reality you’re just ignoring anything negative about it and downplaying everything positive about your own.

For example, we tend to look others blogs and we always like to compare with ours. Some of the blog looks very cool and mesmerize. But then, when we read their content and facts, it seems like it does not attractive as it look. A good blog dose not mean that it is pretty and have lots of pictures. The content also took count which is why you have the followers whom you share your thoughts and facts with. Meanwhile, the language also take count so that we understand what writers want to state in their blog so the reader would not get confuse.

More than that, we also like to compare UniKL MICET with other universities. No offense! We always thought that MICET is the worst compared to other universities. How MICET manage the budget coming in and out, the facilities, and many more. Instead of being positive, a lot of us MICETians think a lot of negative side towards MICET. But, a lot of people did not know that MICET have the lattes technology in laboratory rather then other universities. For practical and hands on also, MICET is still the best. Compared to other IPTA and IPTS including UTP, they have approximately 60% theory and 40% hands on, which does not meet the industrial requirement where they need people who can work on practically. But not all universities are perfect. What make the universities grate is the pupil and the lecturers. 

There are other things that we like to compare with. But, not all that we compare with always look that better. Sometimes, what we own cannot be replace. The worst mistake is if we compare ourself with peoples around. We should be thankful towards our All Mighty Creator for what He had give us and work hard if we wanted to achieve something better and not with short cuts. With that we will live life to the fullest and we will have no regret for what we have.

What type of music you listen to??

          What type of music do you guys listen often, or maybe your favorite? There are many types of music genre you can find this days, from jazz, experimental, slow music to heavy metal and all kind of noise music. If you ask kids or teenagers this days, they all probably will answer the same genre which is metal, hardcore, screamo and all sorts of heavy music. People always mistaken these heavy music as a worshiping satan or demon. This kind of people need to learn more on music, because whats important is the message that the artist give. They maybe playing heavy music, but they also give positive value.

          Everybody have their on taste on music. For me, i listen a lot of Post-Rock, Skramz, Metal and Technical (Math) music. What is Post-Rock? Post-rock was the dominant form of experimental rock during the '90s, a loose movement that drew from greatly varied influences and nearly always combined standard rock instrumentation with electronics. Post-rock brought together a host of mostly experimental genres. My number one top Post-rock band would be "Russian Circle". For Asian Post-rock band i suggest you listen to "This Is Atlantis", they are from Singapore if im not mistaken.

My top 5 Awsome things are..

1. PSP

Who ever thought that one day a 3D game like football and Role Play Game (RPG) can be played in this small little gadget which is portable. Not only that, it also provides media player like vedios MP4 and MP3 and also contain wifi to surf internet. Now PSP come with whole new idea. Try to search for PSP NGP and you know what I mean.

2. Apple Product

Everyone thought that NOKIA has leading in phone technology. But yet, it is not. When Apple announce their product on iphone 3G, that thought had become rubbish. Now everyone is hoping more from Apple including their computer and laptop technology.

3. Canon 550D

Long ago, when technology is not like today, cameraman used SLR camera with films a lot in their bag pack. What makes a cameraman become very passionate in taking pictures are when they get to see and process the picture by them selves.  Now after the technology has evolve, the SLR camera become Digital SLR or they use to call it DSLR where it use memory cards to stall the picture. The different that Canon 550D brought to the picture being taken is that the picture is in High Definition (HD).

4. Glass technology

I cannot describe it for my self just take a look on the video above and you can wow letter on. Just something that everyone hope for the future.

Did you now that German are the first to invent watch? And did you know that Japan is the first to invent digital watch? Why i think that watch is my 5 awesome things is because it keeps me wonder how it keeps me on track of time while if i'm losing it, I also will be lost.

Earth Hour

Hello everyone! this week is the week end to write on this blog. Suppose that we have finished on writing this blog on week 8. let just think that we like to entertain you all with our blogging  here till this week 10. hehe..

Our earth has been very sick today. Since the Industrial Revolution happened in Great Britain and Europe, the industry revolutionize with throwing a big impact towards the people and the environment. People were so keen to make money at that time until the most powerful country like Soviet Union lost due to economic crisis. Country with great economic power controls everything like United State of America. They were making money till they forgot how much the industry creates huge environmental problem like ozone depletion to the earth. The first ozone hole detected on America during 1970's. Towards this year and on, a lot of environmental problem have been issued by the big country like China and Japan and the small country like Malaysia.

Kyoto protocol that have been adopted on 11 December 1997 was taken for granted by the big nation such as US. Until last year, when people had realize how much that they have been damaging the earth with nuclear war and carbon dioxide emission, everyone like to started of thinking green way. Now people are talking about green technology, biotechnology, sustainable source, sustainable energy. With the current advance technology today, of course people think it's getting easy to obtain. Actually it is not. With the economy today, a lot of things are getting expensive. People start to talk about sustainable energy, because people are depending a lot on the usage of petroleum and coal in their daily lives until the source is said to be getting lower. The fact is, sustainable energy are also difficult to obtain.

When people start thinking about having change in their way of life, it is not easy. Meanwhile, there are groups or organization that are willing to help and guide all human beings towards a better life. World Wild Life (WWF) is one of the organization that involve in these volunteering work to deliver this awareness among peoples over the world. One of their project is Earth Hour. Earth Hour was conceived by WWF and The Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non-essential lights. Following Sydney's lead, many other cities around the world adopted the event in 2008. Until this day, Earth Hour have been an event for all country to keep on the awareness for the new generation. 

People may think that turning off the lights for one hour is just a waste but then, less is more. Now that the whole world had involve in this program, a lot of energy consumption can be reduce and warm the earth as it also keep on reminding people to save the environment. Now, few country have proposed that for this year 2011, except for 1 hour of turning off the lights, they want to extend the time and see what country can hold the record the longest. Anyway, they hope that this purpose of the event can reach the people. So join us this March 26, 2011 by turning off the lights to save the Earth. Save energy save the world.

 

Students must vote during the 'Students' Election' because.......

Students must vote during the 'Students' Election' because they need a leader to represent their thoughts and ideas to rightful source or person which is in this case the universities students affair. Like politics, the community vote for their leaders on their home places to hold this responsibility and bring this up to the Prime Minister. 

As a universities students, their thoughts and ideas are treasure because they are still young and the ideas are fresh. Their ideas might come up to be a very useful not to the academics purposes but also to the citizens in the community as well. But, for them to present their ideas and thought in a right way, they need a representative to propose the ideas so that their opinions and ideas can be done a rightful way. Once have so many thoughts and opinions so they want the universities to accept all of it. 

But, the idea might come up rubbish and some maybe does not come to benefits to the universities and the students as well. That is why the student representatives are selected so they could negotiate the matter that come up from the students with the universities so the unit could consider what is best for others. 

Besides that, voting for student representative also means selecting a rightful leader so that a non wise and no good representative would not be selected. A wise and good person should be selected so that they can do their job well. Selecting a person with no good background might get all the students into trouble because they cannot present the idea from all students in the universities. They might come up with their own selfish idea and gets everyone in university into collapse. That is why students must vote during the ‘Students Election’.

          Morning peeps!!?? Urm if its morning now, hahaha. Hello again dear readers. This post actually for the week 5, but we will try to catch up others with our amazing story and info for you guys. For the week 5, we were suppose to post up a post on "Great Leaders are Not Born, They are Made". What do you think of it? I think that statement is correct, and I agree on it. Great leader wasn't born, only little baby's were born, hahaha. Leader is "a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal".

          A leader by its meaning is one who goes first and leads by example, so that others are motivated to follow him. This is a basic requirement. To be a leader, a person must have a deep-rooted commitment to the goal that he will strive to achieve it even if nobody follows him! To be a leader, one must have followers. To have followers, one must have their trust. 

          Effectiveness in leadership has been attributed to persuasion skills, leadership styles and personal attributes of the leader. By following this, then you are ready to be a leader, For me, everyone is a leader, its only up to them, whether to use this skill or just lazy enough become nobody. In this new era, we need to stand up high! And fight whats right, so the leadership must have in everyone of us. This proves that great leaders are not born, they are made. Thank you.

Birth Order Trait

     Hello readers. How have you guys been doing lately? Awesome? This post is followed the title given, "Birth Order Trait". What would you think of birth order trait? Is it true that the eldest child more responsible, mature, a perfectionist, good leader, high IQ and low self-esteem? Or the middle child which is not an achiever, creative, artistically inclined, often felt neglected and lack of direction? Or the youngest where often get away with anything, not independent and often not taken seriously? For me, all this is not true. It's just a simple made-up condition.

     I'm the middle child myself, and my character is almost the same as the eldest child. I'm more mature than my elder sister, and I could say I'm a good leader in the family when handling anything or a problem. This happen because I'm the only son in the family. I have one older sister, and two little sister. Each of them have a different character. The birth order trait theory is a false. 

     Usually when you're the only son in the family, you got to take responsible on anything happen in your family. For example, when my family had a crisis or a problem, usually I would go and find a way to solve it, unlike my elder sister, she rarely didn't take part in solving any family problem. The point where the middle child is not an achiever, I'm very disagree with it, as a middle child, I'm always going and trying to achieve anything, to proves that I'm better than my elder sister. I'm always racing with my elder sister in getting good grades. When my parents happen to go out or away, they always ask me to take care of my siblings, and this again proves the birth order trait is a false.

      The birth order trait have prove wrong. The character depends on family, where the son is the leader of the family.

vocaloids 3D concert.

Hello everyone! we meet once again for this 8th entry this week (hmmm... suppose to be 10th actually) but don't worry. we try to make it up somehow. Eventually, we are not trying to discuss on the food topic for this week, but, we would like to share some other things with you all. On our previous topic we have shared with you all on BIG MUFF PI which is a musical instrument gadgets. For this entry also, we would like to discuss on the same genre topic which is vocaloids. I'm sure that a lot of you have never heard of this vocaloids before. What is vocaloids? It is a musical software which is very popular in Japan. Mostly, we know that Japan is famous with sushi and rice ball, and we also know that they are really advance in technology. Vocaloids is a vocal software where the software build a human voice for singing. The co-creator of the vocaloids, YAMAHA, says that the human voice have their limit in singing. But with the software, it build a vocal singing with high range pitch almost like the sound of a flute. With the software, the composer only need to key in the music notes and lyrics and the software start to sing. Because it is a computarize vocal voice, they think (YAMAHA) they need a suitable character to impersonate the voice character. We also know that Japan is so famous with their colourfull anime. So, they build up an anime character to impersonate the voice. Until today, they have almost 8 voice character with different voice gender. The most famous vocaloids is Hatsune Miku.

Hatsune Miku have been a phenomenon in Japan. The vocaloids Miku have been on the top most singer although it just a vocal software. The composer of it songs are mostly the buyers of the software. They made the song and post it online or share it with other vocaloids user since the software supported internet connection and connected with other vocaloids saoftware user. Until today, the YAMAHA have collected more than 100 songs from 1000 plus songs that have been created to commercialize them. With a lot of fans around the world the YAMAHA Production have announce the tour concert for the vocaloids in Japan. Most question from fans ask how are they going to bring the concert live. Once again the Japanese leads the most advance technology today with hologram 3D with 360 degree view and the first technology in the world.  

 

The Hologram 3D concert was a success and a lot of fans around the world want them to visit their country. Who knows maybe hologram will be part of our life in future like we see Iron Man movie.  What do you guys think of it? share it with us.

Big Muff Pi

Hello people! As you can see on our blog, every post we always talk about food, but today I'll be telling you somethings that is not about food!! :) I will talk about the "Big Muff Pi". I just bought it last week, and it was an awesome gadget! Cant wait to use it for another gig.

Probably a lot of you was wondering, what is this Big Muff Pi actually?? It is actually a gadget for guitar and bass. There are different types of Big Muff, there are Big Muff Pi (USA version), Big Muff Pi (Russian version), Little Big Muff Pi, Double Muff, Big Muff With Tone Wicker and others. The one that i just bought was the Big Muff Pi (USA version). Its quite similar with the Russian version, just the Russian version quiet hard to find nowadays.

The USA version is the classic distortion that countless rock guitar legend, like Hendrix and Santana, relied on for its rich, creamy violin-like sustain. A timeless piece. The Big Muff Pi has defined the sound of rock guitar for over 30 years. From Pink Floyd to the White Stripes, everyone got to have this piece of Pi! I already got one, and I'm using it for both of my bass and guitar. Cant wait for the next gig to use it!!

p/s: do you know why it is call "BIG" Muff? Because its big! Maybe its about a size of my face.

Do you think we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better grades?

Hello again dear followers. I bet sure lots of you are already at home right now having your holiday?? For this post, we would like to discuss from the topic given, "Do you think we should give monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better result grades". 

         

Studying has been getting hard every day. Most of the time studying will get a student getting board weather in classes or study time. So, that is why a lot of student are failing in subjects they were taken. This thing rather happened in school and mostly would happen when they are in university. When they fail, they got to repeat the subject. On the other hand, failing subjects in university will affect their cumulative grade pointer average or CGPA. With a lower CGPA it is affecting their education loan and pocket money. This will give more burdens to the students for having money problems while facing with study problem. Should they be given monetary incentives to the KP2 students to motivate them to get better grades? 

In our opinion, there are good and bad by giving money to motivate the KP2 students to get better grades in their study. Meanwhile, money itself is important as it should be depending on what way it is used. If the KP2 students used the money to buy reference books, this will sure help them in study. But, if it is vice versa, than there are no benefits come from that money. Let’s look on the good site of giving money to students. A psychologist test showing that a person is getting motivated and inspired when they were given a token or gift. In this case, by giving monetary incentives, they are surely exited and would strive hard to achieve it. 

Moreover, not all the students are brilliant to achieve great result. Some are a slow learner and need incentives practise to overcome their weaknesses. So with another chance given, they will prove themselves that they are good. Some of the student probably achieved good pointer after given another chance. To achieve a great CGPA, the KP2 student needs a hard work done in the fourteen week of study time. They would probably have a moral down issue after getting such result. By giving them the intensive money should give them a kick start to achieve better result in the future. 

But, there are also negative views of giving the monetary incentives to the KP2 students. Eventhough they achieved good result, they achieved it because of the prize given. In the end, they did not learn anything from the class they attend. Besides the attitude of the student that should affect their score in study. If they were being motivated with money, soon they only did things and work for money. They could even try bribes. These will create bad culture within citizens.

Giving them money incentives also could lead these students to enjoy with the money they get. As stated in the first paragraph, KP2 student does not receive any pocket money or tuition fees from the lender. On the other hand, they can recover back their money as soon as they get better result for the coming semester. If the universities intend to give them money even for a hundred ringgit, they would use it for enjoyment. Living live as students sure got a lot of challenge to be face. But not all of them are capable to live life they want. 

As for conclusion, giving the KP2 student monetary incentives give both the good and bad views. But the most important things to get the KP2 students having a better result is by teaching them the attitude to study. Only then they would understand the important of study and the benefits they get for the future. Besides, experience is the best teacher where they learn their weakness in study and how to overcome it by studying SMART and HARD and not by getting money.
